Night Cap 2025 – A Honda Enthusiast’s Dream in Lake Mills, WI

An Exclusive Night for Honda Legends

On August 9th, 2025, Lake Mills, Wisconsin transformed into a Honda enthusiast’s paradise as The Meet from California teamed up with King Motorsports to host Night Cap—a curated evening car display unlike anything the Midwest has seen.

This wasn’t your typical daylight car show. Night Cap showcased just 10 hand-selected vehicles, chosen for their rarity, history, and significance to the Honda performance community.

Main Attraction: King Motorsports x Mugen S2000 Reveal

The star of the night was the King Motorsports x Mugen S2000, unveiled to the public for the first time. This legendary roadster isn’t just a collector’s piece—it served as a development testbed for official Mugen performance parts, cementing its place in Honda history.

To commemorate the reveal, Gloss University and Oberk Car Care premiered a feature documentary detailing the car’s story and restoration.

The Night Cap 2025 Showcase Lineup

The display featured an unparalleled mix of JDM icons and performance classics:

• King Motorsports x Mugen S2000 (Feature Reveal) The platform for Mugen part development. a period correct example of the parts available or prototyped in 2000/20001

• 2025 Honda FL5 Civic Type R – Fully equipped with newest Mugen parts

• 1985 Mugen CRX – Classic ‘80s hatch with performance pedigree. This is actually THE Mugen CRX, sporting the widebody kit and the full catalog of Mugen parts for this era. The Mugen CF-48 wheels with aero disc is a perfect homage to this iconic track car.

• 1991 Honda CRX SiR – JDM spec perfection. Easily one of the cleanest SiR CRX cars in the US with period correct OEM+ modifications including Mugen wheels and Saclam Exhaust.

• 1998 Honda Integra Type R – Championship White legend Low mileage stock example

• JDM-Spec EK9 Civic Type R – The hatch that started it all. Chor's build has a variety of part options that change the look from time to time. The Sr6 seats are a great choice that you don't see often.. The Mugen parts paired with the Sergeant rear lip/diffuser and Mode Parfume fenders all flow really well together.

• JDM-Spec NA1 NSX – Honda’s original mid-engine supercar. Full selection or ultra rare pieces including a Saclam exhaust, Mugen S1 buckets, MF10 wheels and Advance aero.

• Honda Today RS – Kei car rarity. This is a Cozy Lights Racing build and has a lot of detailed parts along with a great exterior color combo paired with the bronze TE37's

• Honda Beat – Fun-size open-top driving. Incredible option interior accessories as well as Mugen parts

• 1974 Honda Civic RS – The first performance Civic - This specific vehicle was the oldest registered civic in the UK

Event Vibes – Food, Drinks, and Culture

Night Cap wasn’t just about rare Hondas—it was a full-on car culture experience:

• Food & Drinks: Tacos and street food from Phoenix Mobile Grill paired with refreshing beverages from Drink Weird.

• Exclusive Collectibles: Limited-run event posters and Leen custom enamel pins of the Mugen S2000 from King Motorsports. Along with posters and pins, there was an exclusive event T shirt that sold out pretty quick in most sizes.

Weather & Atmosphere

While the evening brought a brief round of severe weather, the energy of the crowd never dipped. Enthusiasts came from across the Midwest to experience a rare, up-close look at some of Honda’s most iconic creations.

Final Thoughts – A Midwest Honda Milestone

Night Cap 2025 proved that exclusive, focused automotive events can create unforgettable experiences. For Oberk Car Care, being part of a night filled with history, performance, and Honda passion was an honor.
